Dr. David Almanza is a postdoctoral researcher in Urban Climate Adaptation. He ispart of the Southern Nevada Heat Resilience Lab housed within DRI where heworks with Dr. Tamara Wall and Ariel Choinard in issues of heat-mitigation throughout Southern Nevada. His work includes a Cooling Center studydesigned to better understand our communitys experiences with heat and how we can better protect residents from extreme temperatures.
