Curation Facility

Facility Description

The curation facility, located in Las Vegas, is owned by the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Nevada Field Office (NNSA/NFO), and managed by DRI. This storage facility includes features mandated under the Code of Federal Regulations (36 CFR79), including climate control, security systems, and inventory control using bar coding equipment. The current collection is available for scholarly research and includes prehistoric and historic artifacts from the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) or from NNSA/NFO, or Department of Energy (DOE) projects in the southern Great Basin.
