Family Engagement Event Take-Home Activities

One form of community outreach that ECE STEAM Specialists on the STEM Education Team facilitated were the six Family Engagement Events. These events were hosted across Southern and Northern Nevada and served to engage the whole family through the showcasing of hands-on STEAM literacy activities from the two Pre-K Green Boxes developed under the Early Childhood Innovative Literacy Program (ECLIP) awarded through the Nevada Department of Education. These Green Boxes were developed by ECE STEAM Specialists Lauren Cox and Colette Fahning, to support early learners in their development of foundational literacy skill through hands-on STEAM activities. The titles of these Green Boxes are It’s Electric! and Ecosystem Explorers!.
